We are pleased to inform you that the BCA Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 will be held in Horsens, Denmark, alongside the BWF Members’ Forum and AGM, as follows –
- BCA Council Meeting: (Only for Council Members) Wednesday, 22 April 2026
- BCA AGM 2026: Thursday, 23 April 2026
- BWF Members’ Forum: Friday, 24 April 2026
- BWF AGM 2026: Saturday, 25 April 2026
Further details and formal papers will follow in accordance with Clause 9.2 of the BCA Constitution.

- Notice of the AGM
- To be sent to all Members no later than Wednesday, 28 January 2026
- (Twelve (12) weeks before the date of the AGM)
- Closing Date for Proposals and Nominations
- Proposals duly seconded by a Member in Good Standing, must be received no later than Thursday, 26 February 2026
- (Eight (8) weeks before the date of the AGM)
- Dispatch of AGM Agenda and Papers
- The agenda, together with:
a) proposals from Members in Good Standing and seconded by another Member in Good Standing
b) proposals from Council
will be sent to the membership no later than Thursday, 12 March 2026 - (Six (6) weeks before the date of the AGM)

- Official BCA AGM Hotel
For the BCA AGM and BWF AGM week, BCA delegates will be accommodated at the following hotel :
o Pejsegaarden Hotel
Søndergade 112, 8740 Horsens, Denmark.
o Kindly note the BWF AGM will be held at the Hotel – Comwell Bygholm Park.
- Arrival Airport:
o Billund (BLL) Airport
- Arrival Transport:
o Transport between Billund Airport and the official hotels will be organised by the Host (Badminton Denmark). Delegates must request this via the online system indicated below (see Section 3).
- Hotel Rates
- Single occupancy: US$195 per room, per night
- Twin / double occupancy: US$215 per room, per night
- Key dates
o Sunday 8 March 2026: Accommodation – Deadline to book and pay to secure a room
o Friday 3 April 2026: Transport – Deadline to request transport from airport to hotel
- Accommodation Subsidy (BWF):
o BWF will reimburse three (3) nights of accommodation at the official rate for one registered delegate from each Member in Good Standing.
o As the BCA AGM will also be held in Horsens, an additional night (4th night) will be reimbursed for the same delegate, in line with the BWF arrangements for Continental Confederations.
Further practical information on check-in, meal plans and hotel procedures will be shared closer to the event or directly by the Host / BWF.
- Visas, Accommodation Bookings and Local Transport
All visa support, hotel bookings and local transport requests will be managed centrally by the Host Organisation, Badminton Denmark, through the following link:
Each AGM participant must use this link to:
- request a visa support letter;
- book and pay for accommodation (deadline Sunday 8 March 2026);
- request transport from Billund Airport to the hotel (deadline Friday 3 April 2026);
- request accreditation for the event.
- BCA Delegate Nomination Form
In accordance with the BCA Constitution, Members in Good Standing will be required to nominate their voting delegate (and, where applicable, a second delegate) for the BCA AGM 2026.
A BCA Delegate Nomination Form will be circulated together with the formal Notice of the AGM.
- Prepare Early
To facilitate smooth participation in both the BCA AGM and the BWF events in Horsens, we encourage you to:
- Decide as early as possible who will represent your association as delegate(s) for the BCA and BWF AGMs;
- Ask your delegate(s) to check the expiry date of their passport (at least six months’ validity from the date of travel);
- Check whether your delegate(s) require a visa for Denmark and start the application process in good time;
- Review available flight options to Billund (BLL) and consider travel dates that align with the BCA Council Meeting (only for council members), BCA AGM, BWF Members’ Forum and BWF AGM.
