Player Development

Athletes are at the centre of sport. The on-court performances of world class players are an inspiration to those who play badminton and for those who follow badminton. Players are central to the development and promotion of badminton, and therefore sit at the centre of BWFs strategic plans.

 

Players are the main ‘actors’ on the ‘field of play’ around which events revolve. Their performance on court, their training and preparation off court and their interaction with media are all critical factors in the development of our sport.

 

To assist the best African players to qualify for the Olympic Games, BCA is currently supporting the following players on the ‘Road to Paris’ programme:
