The Development Calendar has been prepared as part of BCA’s commitment to implementing its Strategic Plan in a more structured, transparent and coordinated manner. It is intended to give Member Associations early visibility of planned development activities and to support better preparation, participation and follow-up across the continent.
The calendar directly supports BCA’s strategic priorities, particularly in the areas of Member Association capacity building, coach education, Shuttle Time implementation, player development, technical officials’ development, inclusive participation, Para badminton, AirBadminton, and the strengthening of development pathways across Africa.
By publishing the calendar, BCA aims to help Member Associations plan ahead, identify relevant opportunities for their coaches, administrators, players and technical officials, and align national development priorities with the continental development framework. This is also intended to improve coordination, reduce late planning challenges, and support stronger reporting and impact measurement in line with BCA and BWF development objectives.
Member Associations are therefore encouraged to consult the calendar regularly and to use it as a planning tool for their national programmes. Please note that some activities may remain subject to confirmation, and updates will be made where necessary.
