1) All Africa U15 and U19 Championships in Benin – 22 Aug to 1 Sep 2021
Find attached the official prospectus of the All Africa U15 Championships (22 to 26 Aug) and the All Africa U19 Championships (26 Aug to 1 Sep). Both tournaments will be held in Cotonou Benin and will include a Mixed Team Event and an Individual Event. The Team Championships, for both U15 and U19, will require a team of minimum of 2 boys and 2 girls (4 players).
The BCA will provide a grant for accommodation and travel to participating teams (only teams). Regarding the COVID-19, strict measures will be applied to keep a safe ‘bubble’ throughout the tournament – refer to the prospectus for more information.
Prior to the U15 Championships, a training camp will be organized in close collaboration with the Benin Badminton Federation and the Francophone Badminton Association (AFB). The camp is open to all participating teams. The BCA will provide support for teams to participate in the camp, the AFB will partly assist French speaking countries as well. A BCA Umpires Accreditation Assessment will be held during the Benin International 2021 (19 – 21 July) and the All Africa U15 Championships. If you have any National umpires you want to nominate for the assessment, please contact the BCA Secretariat.
