1. Application to host BCA Championships
We are pleased to invite Member Associations to apply for the organisation of the following African Championships:
- All Africa Under 15 Championships 2023 – (July/August 2023)
- All Africa School Championships 2023 – (December 2023)
- All Africa Senior Championships 2024 – (February 2024)

2. African AirBadminton Championships 2023
Following the announcement, by the BWF and ANOC (Association of National Olympic Committees), of the inclusion of AirBadminton in the next World Beach Games 2023 in Bali, Indonesia, the BCA will be organising an AirBadminton Continental tournament in the first half of 2023. The winners of the tournament, Men’s and Women’s team (a team of 3 players each), will automatically qualify for the Games in Bali.
We are therefore inviting MAs to express their interest to host this event, a few information:
- The tournament must be played on sand – for example: beach, existing beach courts (beach volley, beach soccer, etc).
- The location should not be too windy. For example, protected by trees, buildings, mountains or other infrastructure.
- We expect the tournament to last 2 or 3 days, depending on number of courts (min 2).
- Preferred period will be from March to May 2023.
If you are willing to organise the event and have the necessary resources and infrastructure, please contact us by 30th November 2022.
3. African Para Badminton Championships 2023
The BWF have published their Para badminton calendar and the African Para Badminton Championships will be held from 11 to 15 July 2022. If you are interested to host the championships, kindly email us by 30th November 2022.
