GETTING READY FOR THE BCA AGM-24th OF APRIL 2025 IN XIAMEN, CHINA.

Deadline for AGM Proposals.
This is a kind reminder that all BCA 2025 AGM proposals should reach the CEO latest by Thursday, 27th of Feb 2025 (23:59hrs Mauritian Time).
Please note that as per our Constitution Clause 9.4: the closing date for submitting proposals and nominations for elections shall be no later than eight (8) weeks before the date of the AGM.
For an AGM Proposal to be valid it should have the following:
- Made in writing by a Member Association in Good Standing.
- A different Member Association from the proposer in Good Standing shall second the proposal in writing.
As per the BWF Website (https://corporate.bwfbadminton.com/players/barred-players/), as at 21 February 2025, the following Member Associations in Africa were NOT in Good Standing (Clause 5.13 of the BCA Constitution):

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Book your Flights Early – Arrival airport – Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN). There is a World Athletics Diamond League event in Xiamen on the same day as the BWF AGM, so book early as there will be a high demand for flights into Xiamen.
o Official Hotel – Tefang Portman Seven Stars Bay Hotel & Resort (hotel website). See the Hotel Reservation Form – deadline to complete is 10 April 2025.
o Accommodation – each Member must book and pay for their accommodation at the official hotel. Use the official form to book the hotel. BWF will reimburse each Member 3 nights accommodation for 1 Voting Delegate who attends the BWF Members’ Forum and AGM. If the same delegate also attends their Continental Confederation AGM on 24 April, BWF will reimburse 4 nights accommodation. BCA will additionally reimburse 1 night accommodation for 1 voting delegate who attends the BCA Members forum.
