The Badminton Confederation Africa (BCA) is pleased to announce the 7th BCA Para Badminton Workshop, to be held from 27 to 29 September 2025 in Abia State, Nigeria.
The workshop will consist of two parallel components:
- BWF Coaching Disability Workshop
Member Associations are invited to nominate up to two (2) coaches (one male and one female). Please note that only one coach per country will be selected based on the following criteria:
Selection Criteria – Coach
- Minimum of 5 years active coaching experience.
- Involvement in Para Badminton training and commitment to developing national Para Badminton programmes.
- Not older than 60 years.
- Possession of BWF Level 1 or 2 coaching certification (please attach scanned copy – optional but advantageous).
BCA Will Provide:
- Support for up to 8 coaches.
- Return economy air tickets (subject to prior approval).
- Local transportation in Nigeria (airport–hotel–venue).
- Accommodation and full board for the official dates (26–30 September 2025).
Participants / Member Associations Will Cover:
- Visa application and related fees.
- Travel insurance.
- Personal expenses.

- Submit required documents (passport copy, coaching certificate, etc.) to a.reda@badmintonafrica.com by Monday, 30 June 2025.
- Para Badminton Players Training Camp
Member Associations may also nominate up to two (2) Para Badminton players (one male and one female). Only one player per country will be selected.
Selection Criteria – Player
- Registered Para Badminton player under the national federation.
- Has never participated in a BWF/BCA Para Badminton competition and is not classified.
- Has trained at least twice per week for the last 6 consecutive months.
- Must submit a completed Medical Form certified by a practicing doctor (attached).
- Must participate in both the 1st Abia State Para Badminton International and the Africa Para Badminton Championship.
BCA Will Provide:
- Support for up to 10 players.
- Return economy air tickets (subject to prior approval).
- Local transportation in Nigeria (airport–hotel–venue).
- Accommodation and full board for the official dates (26–30 September 2025).
Participants / Member Associations Will Cover:
- Visa application and related fees.
- Travel insurance.
- Personal expenses.
