The Badminton Confederation Africa (BCA), in partnership with the Badminton World Federation (BWF), is pleased to invite your federation to nominate two coaches (one male and one female) for the upcoming BWF FastTrack Coaching Course (Level 1 & 2) and BWF Level 3 Coaching Course.
These courses are part of the BWF global centralized coaching programs and provide an invaluable opportunity for African coaches to learn from world-class experts and contribute to the future of elite badminton coaching in the region.

1. BWF Level 1 & 2 FastTrack Coaching Course
This course is designed to support elite international-level badminton players transitioning from playing to coaching, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop future athletes.
Course Objectives:
- Provide elite players with a structured and accelerated pathway into coaching.
- Develop technical and tactical coaching skills, player development strategies, and training methodologies.
- Strengthen badminton coaching structures across Africa by integrating former players into coaching roles.
Nomination Criteria:
- ✅ Be a former or current elite international-level badminton player.
- ✅ Be in good standing with BCA and their national federation.
- ✅ Have a strong interest in transitioning to coaching.
- ✅ Be committed to supporting and developing future talent.
- ✅ Must be involved in coaching and sharing knowledge with the National Federation for the next 4 years.
- ✅ Have a good command of English, as the course will be conducted in English.

- Each federation may nominate two eligible candidates (one male and one female).

2. BWF Level 3 Coaching Course
This advanced course is tailored for coaches actively engaged in talent development systems and elite coaching, equipping them with the necessary expertise to guide young athletes toward high-performance success.
Course Focus Areas:
- Coaching Systems – Understanding the pathway from initial talent identification to elite-level play.
- Youth Development Models – Strategies to support and mentor young players.
- Elite Coaching – Leveraging the unique strengths of elite players to enhance performance.
Nomination Criteria:
- ✅ Hold a BWF Level 2 Coaching Certificate (or an equivalent qualification).
- ✅ Have experience working with youth players and talent development programs.
- ✅ Be actively involved in high-performance coaching within their national setup.
- ✅ Demonstrate a strong commitment to developing future elite players
- ✅ Must be involved in high-performance coaching within their national setup for the next 4 years
- ✅ Have a good command of English, as the course will be conducted in English.
