This is a kind reminder that all proposals for the BCA 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) must reach the CEO no later than Thursday, 26 February 2026 (23:59hrs Mauritian Time).
Please note that as per Clause 9.4 and Clause 9.5 of the BCA Constitution, for an AGM proposal to be valid, it must comply with the following:
- Made in writing by a Member Association in Good Standing.
- A different Member Association from the proposer, also in Good Standing, must second the proposal in writing.
In accordance with Clause 5.13 of the BCA Constitution, a Member Association is considered not in Good Standing if it:
- Has outstanding BWF subscription fees.
- Is under suspension by the BWF.
- Has not submitted a completed Schedule A to the BWF for the current year.
As at the date of this memo, the following African Member Associations are not in Good Standing according to the BWF subscriptions update for AGM 2026:
- Angola
- Benin
- Republic of Congo
- Eswatini
- Ethiopia
- Equatorial Guinea
- Guinea
- Libya
- Somalia
- St Helena
- Sudan
- Tanzania
- Zambia
- Kenya (under suspension)
- Morocco (under suspension)
All Member Associations are encouraged to prepare and submit proposals in good time ahead of the deadline to allow for proper review and circulation prior to the AGM.
