We are pleased to inform you of the launch of a new pilot initiative under our development programs: the Shuttle Time Tournament Grant.
This pilot project has been designed to further support the growth of badminton at the grassroots level by encouraging Member Associations to organize Shuttle Time tournaments that engage schools, young players, and new participants in a fun and structured competitive environment.
Objectives of the Pilot Project
The Shuttle Time Tournament Grant aims to:
- Strengthen the implementation of the Shuttle Time programme at the grassroots level
- Introduce young players to competition path
- Encourage the organization of local tournaments / schools tournaments for young players
- Support capacity building for Members Associations, educators, coaches, volunteers and other stakeholders
- Increase participation and visibility of badminton within your community.
- Increase schools’ participation in the All Africa School Championships.
Key Features
Selected Member Associations will receive:
- Financial support to organize Shuttle Time tournaments
- Guidance on event structure and recommended formats
- Visibility and recognition as part of this pilot program.
Eligibility & Participation
Priority will be given to those who:
- Have an active Shuttle Time program in place
- Demonstrate the capacity to organize and deliver local tournaments
- Show commitment to youth engagement and development initiatives.
