The dream came true for Ghana as the host nation lifted the All Africa U-15 Team Championships 2025 trophy in front of a roaring home crowd at the Borteyman Sports Complex. In a gripping final, Ghana overcame a talented Egypt side 55–41, sealing an unforgettable victory that will be remembered for years to come.
From the very first match, the atmosphere inside the hall was electric. Fans waved flags, drums echoed in the background, and every point won by Ghana was met with deafening cheers. Both teams had fought hard through the group stages and semi-finals, but this was the biggest stage of all, the battle for continental glory.
🇬🇭 Ghana vs 🇪🇬 Egypt – The Final Showdown
Girls’ Doubles opened the tie, with Hannah Adu and Alana Faith Sullo taking on Egypt’s Jana Ahmed Wasfy and Rama Hussein Hamdy. It was a tense start, with both sides trading points, but Ghana edged ahead to take it 11–10, putting the hosts in front and sending the crowd into celebration mode.
Next up was the Boys’ Singles, where Ghana’s captain Obapomba Adu-Mintah faced Omar Abdelaziz. In one of the tightest games of the final, Adu-Mintah held his nerve to win 22–20, extending Ghana’s lead and pumping his fist in delight as the crowd erupted.
Egypt hit back in the Girls’ Singles, with Rama Hussein Hamdy showing her class against Moslena Ama Koramah Adu, taking it to 33–27. The tension was back, but Ghana refused to let momentum slip.
The turning point came in the Mixed Doubles, where Obapomba Adu-Mintah teamed up with Moslena Adu to face Anas Eslam Sobhy and Jana Ahmed Wasfy. The Ghanaian pair played with incredible energy, racing to a 44–32 lead and putting one hand on the trophy.
It was then down to the Boys’ Doubles to finish the job. Melchizedek Takyi Adu and Moses Yaw Ansong Adu took the court with the pressure of the championship on their shoulders. They delivered a composed and powerful performance, winning 55–41 and sending the entire venue into wild celebration.

For Ghana, this victory was about more than just a medal, it was proof that preparation, teamwork, and belief can achieve great things. For Egypt, reaching the final showed their consistency and strength, and they leave Accra with pride, knowing they pushed the hosts hard in the title match.
