Freetown, Sierra Leone – The echoes of shuttlecocks reverberated through the air in Freetown as two esteemed coaches from the Czech Republic, Veronika Brožkovcová and Lukáš Kroc, embarked on a transformative journey to contribute to the development of badminton in Sierra Leone. Supported by the philanthropic initiatives of the endowment fund Future Dreams and in collaboration with the dynamic badminton club Super Stars Most, this coaching initiative surpassed traditional boundaries. It was a comprehensive effort aimed at nurturing talent, fostering a love for the sport, and providing essential resources to propel badminton into the forefront of sports in Sierra Leone.
One of the cornerstone aspects of this program was the generous donation of much-needed equipment to the Sierra Leonean national team. Players from the European club, in collaboration with the internet shop vsenabadminton.cz, exhibited solidarity with their Sierra Leonean counterparts, contributing to the enhancement of training resources.
