Women’s Singles (WS) – Semi-Finals
The top-seeded Fadilah Shamika Mohamed Rafi from Uganda could not overcome Doha Hany from Egypt, the fourth seed. Doha played with great confidence and won the match 21-10, 22-20.
In the other semi-final, Husina Kobugabe from Uganda faced Egypt’s Nour Ahmed Youssri. Nour dominated the game, winning easily 21-12, 21-11.
The Women’s singles Final will be an all-Egyptian Affair.

Men’s Singles (MS) – Semi-Finals
The home crowd was shocked when Georges Julien Paul, the top-seeded player from Mauritius, lost in a tight match against Adham Hatem Elgamal from Egypt. Adham won with a score of 22-20, 21-19.
In the other semi-final, Anuoluwapo Juwon Opeyori from Nigeria played strongly against Driss Bourroum from Morocco. The second-seeded Nigerian won 21-18, 21-17.

Women’s Doubles (WD) – Semi-Finals
Uganda’s top-seeded pair Fadilah Shamika Mohamed Rafi & Tracy Naluwuooza struggled against Amy Ackerman & Johanita Scholtz from South Africa. The South African duo won comfortably 21-15, 21-10.
The second semi-final saw Chiara & Elsa How Hong from Mauritius lose to Yasmina Chibah & Linda Mazri from Algeria. The Algerians won 21-6, 21-14.

Men’s Doubles (MD) – Semi-Finals
The Mauritian pair of Jean Bernard Bongout & Georges Julien Paul gave the crowd something to cheer about by beating Mohamed Abderrahime Belarbi & Adel Hamek from Algeria. The Mauritians came back from a set down to win 15-21, 21-13, 21-10.
The other semi-final was a long battle between Koceila Mammeri & Youcef Sabri Medel from Algeria and Joseph Emmanuel Emmy & Victor Ikechukwu from Nigeria. The Algerians won a tough match 21-13, 24-26, 21-11.
🏆 Men’s Doubles Final: Jean Bernard Bongout & Georges Julien Paul (MRI) vs. Koceila Mammeri & Youcef Sabri Medel (ALG)
Mixed Doubles (XD) – Semi-Finals
The Algerian siblings Koceila Mammeri & Tanina Violette Mammeri played exceptionally well against Caden Kakora & Johanita Scholtz from South Africa. The Algerians won comfortably 21-9, 21-11.
In the other semi-final, Adham Hatem Elgamal & Doha Hany from Egypt had to fight hard to defeat Alhaji Aliyu Shehu & Uchechukwu Deborah Ukeh from Nigeria. They won 22-20, 9-21, 21-14.
