Badminton Oceania can very proudly say that they have a high representation of women in all areas – both on and off the field.
Leading the way is the President – Geraldine Brown, who is also a BWF Vice President and the Chair of the BWF Women in Badminton Commission.

Badminton Oceania has a newly introduced award (2014) POWA(President of Oceania Women’s Award). This award is awarded bi-annually aligned with the Oceania Championships
The BWF also has a Women in Badminton Award
