1. All Africa Junior (U19) Championships 2022

Following the cancellation/postponement of the African Youth Games 2022 by the host and ANOCA, the BCA Council is pleased to announce the organisation of the All Africa Junior Championships 2022 in Mauritius from 11 to 17 December 2022.  The tournament, composed of a Team and Individual Event, will be for players born in 2004 or later and will count for the BWF World Junior Ranking.  The prospectus of the Championships will be published in early September.

2. All Africa School Championships 2022

After 2 cancellations due to the COVID-19, the African Continental School Championships will be held in Mauritius from 18 to 22 December 2022.  The Championships is open to African schools and will be composed of a team and individual event.  The prospectus will also be published in early September 2022.

3. Forthcoming Internationals 2022

Stay tuned for all the international tournaments to be held in Africa from August to December 2022:  August (Cameroon, Lagos), September (Benin, Benin Junior), October (Egypt), November (Zambia, Botswana) and December (South Africa, South Africa Junior).  Make sure to enter your players before the stipulated deadlines – see all information on the BCA Website, click here.

4. Events & IT Manager

If you have any questions or if you need any assistance for Events and IT related matters, you can now directly contact our Events & IT Manager, Mr. Faadil Sayed (f.sayed@badmintonafrica.com).  Following an advertisement and recruitment process conducted a few months ago, Mr. Sayed has joined the BCA workforce which already consists of the 2 Regional Development Officers (Dr. Reda and Mr. Bokpe) and the Finance and Administration Officer (Miss. Sauramba).

Please make sure to fill in and submit your BWF Schedule A Form (attached) before 30 September 2022.
