3) All Africa Senior Championships 2022 – Reminder
Only a few days left to submit your entries for the All Africa Senior Championships in Uganda – no late entries will be accepted. Also note that the organisers have arranged for 2 official hotels instead of one. This will enable countries to chose their preferred accommodation for their team(s) based on their budget and standards of the hotels. Find attached the updated prospectus.
4) Uganda International 2022
The Uganda International 2022 will be held from 24 to 27 February, that is a few days after the All Africa Senior Championships 2022. With a prize money of $15,000, the tournament has been upgraded to the level of ‘International Challenge’ and it would be a great opportunity for your players to play both the African Championships and the Uganda International 2022.
Therefore if you are planning to send a team to Uganda for the AASC, you may also want to enter your players in the Uganda International 2022, depending on your funding. Also note that Uganda will also organise a junior international tournament from 28 February to 2 March 2022. Click here for further information.
5) 1st African Coaching Workshop 2022
For the first time ever, the BCA is planning to organise a high level coaching workshop in Uganda on 22 and 23 February 2022 (that is, just after the AASC and before the Uganda International). The workshop will target high level coaches who are currently training national teams and players in Africa. There will be a number of expert and speakers who will deliver interactive sessions during the 2 days. More details on the activity will follow but in the meantime, you can keep that activity in mind when planning your trip to Uganda for the AASC.
